Testing blogging with Word 2007

by Marcus on June 18, 2007

If this works like it’s supposed to, I’ll probably start blogging with Word 2007, instead of the standard WYSIWYG Editor in WordPress, because the interface is sweet! It’s especially got one cool feature; if you press the Windows button and “S” you can take a clipping of whatever is on the screen and paste it directly into the entry. It even uploads the picture to my homepage automatically.

What happened to your font ? Is it because of Word 2007 ? This new one kinda sucks to be honest :/

I don’t get why you would like to write posts inside of Word instead of using the editor in wordpress; can you tag “on the fly” ? And are you able to save what you’ve been writing as a draft so that e.g. you could continue writing on another pc (log onto the wordpress admin and then editor the post over the internet)?

Wanted to try a different font, but you’re right, this one sucks.

I don’t particularly like the WP editor, it often messes up the lines between pictures and text. I can choose categories (= tags) from dropdown menus, works fine. I haven’t tested whether or not it saves drafts directly in WordPress.

Now, the cool part about using Word is how easy it is to add pictures, as mentioned you can clip something directly from the screen and paste it into Word, it even uploads it to my homepage by itself.
