Buying a MacBook
Sep 7th
I've wanted to buy a laptop for a while, but I wanted to wait and see what kind of computer facilities they have here at the school, which I know now. They've got a bunch of Windows 2000-powered computers with old, bad keyboards, and I'm not gonna spend hours writing scripts on these crappy pcs so I decided to buy a laptop. I've had my eyes on Apple's MacBook-series for a while, since I don't play video games on pc anymore, and I'll probably buy the smallest one they've, it costs 7.500,- DKK, and have the following specs:
13" monitor.
Combo drive.
2.0 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo.
1 GB DDR2 RAM.
80 GB HDD.
Integrated WiFi.
Nils Malmros at the EFC
Sep 7th
The famous Danish director Nils Malmros visited today. I feel a bit embarassed to say that I don't know many of his films, but it was still quite an extraordinary experience to talk to him. He showed us one of his movies, Århus by night, and it was quite good. It was very interesting to watch a movie with its creator, and then be able to talk to him about it afterwards, he also showed us a subsequent ending, that was removed from the movie shortly before it premiered. It's experiences like that which makes this stay so incredible, and I just felt like sharing it.
EFC Day 1-2
Sep 4th
I finally arrived in Ebeltoft yesterday, a lot has happened since, we've mostly been introduced to the teachers and some of the courses. Also, there's a new principal this year and to my surprise it's Søren Høy, former Filmland host. I think the experience that's kinda made me see how unique this stay will be, was during our guided tour of the campus, when we walked through Big Bear, the main cinema, Søren Høy was alone in there with his kids, watching Pingu, like other parents would do in front of their tv.
He also had a treat for us this evening, a sneak preview of David Lynch's Inland Empire, the only copy of the movie in Denmark. Unfortunately the movie is incredibly bad, it's 3,5 hours long and just watching it from start to finish is an achievement worth bragging about. There'll be another sneak preview tomorrow (and one each month in the future), hopefully that'll be better.
Best 3 days ever?

Saturday, I hung out with some good friends from HTX, we don’t see each other very often so it was sweet. One of them is also starting at the Film College, so we talked movies for five hours.
Sunday, I went on a two hour drive to see a girl I met last weekend, and guess what, we’re going steady now. Yay!
Today I start at the European Film College, I’ve been waiting for that for more than six months, it’s going to be awesome! Also, the Call of Duty 4 Multiplayer Beta started today, so I’ll play that a bit before going to school.
Life is awesome. :P
