Stuff I’ve bought recently
Jun 23rd
Yes, yet another entry about purchases. I’ve started making money again so I’ve gone a little nuts buying stuff since I came back from the school.
Clothing
My friend told me about this awesome t-shirt store. All the shirts are decorated with movie-related brands, logos etc, you need to be a bit geeky to know where they’re from though, but that’s what makes it cool. I also found a pretty cool Batman t-shirt on Threadless, so I bought that as well:
Hi-Fi
I got me one of these as well:

And I’m happy I did, I’ve been so annoyed at not having a way to organize and sync information about my podcasts, mainly those I have and haven’t listened to.
Gaming

I finally bought this masterpiece, been playing it almost non-stop since. At the moment I’m rank 40, and I’ve completed it on Hardened.
Movies

It’s been years since I’ve seen the Indy movies, so this was a warm welcome to my dvd shelf. I immediately watched Raiders and Last Crusade, and damn, those are great movies!

A great documentary I missed when they screened it at the European Film College. Amazing movie, also, the cinematography and editing is top nutch.
Downloads
I’ve bought two albums, the first one is We Started Nothing by The Ting Tings, and it is awesome. I missed them at Spot Festival, but I’m definitely gonna see them at Roskilde.
The second album is Cas Haley’s self-titled album. He’s the guy who owned Sting with a cover of Walking on the Moon. The album is pretty cool, nice and happy music.
I guess that’s all.
My Roskilde playlist

Oh my God, it’s in six days. Did I miss anything? Stuff in bold is what I’m really looking forward to.

Copenhagen, here I come!
Jun 16th
Come September I’m gonna move to Copenhagen to study Medialogy, and I’ve been looking for an apartment for some months now. Last week I finally got one, and I went to check it out yesterday. I’m moving in with a friend of mine, and his buddy, so it’s a four room apartment. It’s located in Hvidovre, which is perfect because it’s pretty close to where I’m going to study, and where he’s gonna work. Also, it’s 15 minutes from the main train station in Copenhagen. The minor downside is that it’s kind of small, 75 sqm with one room being only 10 sqm, on the other hand it’s very close to the train station and the tenants are extremely nice, which is probably the most important thing. I’m moving sometime in August.
So far, these are the only pictures I have:
Arla vs. Kohberg. Fight!
Jun 6th

Considering Mac OS X once more
Jun 4th
A while back I wrote about some lacking features in Mac OS X Leopard, and around the same time I switched back to running Windows XP. That’s about seven months ago and my annoyance with Windows XP is rising again. One of my complaints in the other post was the dock, that takes up so much space. While running Windows XP I’ve become accustomed to using Launchy to run my applications, a program very similar, but vastly inferior, to Mac’s built-in instant search feature Spotlight. Hopefully I can more or less ignore the dock (by hiding it) and use Spotlight instead.
The second reason for switching back to XP was the lack of save functions for folder options, I don’t know if that’s been fixed, but I’ll hopefully manage.
The vast amount of applications you can get for Windows was another major reason for switching back, but I stumbled upon two really useful programs that may fix that. The first one is called CrossOver and it lets you run Windows applications such as Internet Explorer (for those pesky eBanking experiences), Steam and, most importantly, uTorrent, a program I use all the time. The other program is called Parallels, it’s a virtual desktop making you able to easily dive into Windows if you need something.
Anyway, I’m writing this in Mac OS X, let’s see how long it lasts.
