I watch

This used to be a list of movies I saw during my eight-month stay at the European Film College. I’ve moved that list here, and now this page will list the movies I’ve seen after that stay. You can see my entire vote history on IMDb. Even though it’s not very accurate, you can also check out my Flickchart rankings here.

I’ve also added an asterix (*) to the old movie screenings with people talking, using their cell phones, making noise, etc.

But first, a little description on how I use the 10-point rating system.

10 – Fantastic movie, at top of personal favorites. (Example: Léon, Fight Club)
9 – Fantastic movie, often also personal favorite. (Example: RoboCop, Twelve Monkeys)
8 – Great movie. (Example: Gladiator, Batman Begins)
7 – Above average, minor annoyances, but highly enjoyable. (Example: Jarhead, Hard Candy)
6 – Average, some annoyances, but overall enjoyable. (Example: Constantine, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back)
5 – Below average, not recommendable. (Example: Cars, Deja Vu)
4 – Bad movie, major annoyances, horrible scripts, huge letdowns. (Example: Fantastic Four, Scary Movie 4)
3 – Horrible. (Example: I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, Hostel)
2 – Painfully bad, as in “One of the worst I’ve seen in X years”. (Example: The Seeker: The Dark is Rising, Eye for Eye)
1 – Existence is inexcusable. TV-movies and the likes. (Example: D-War, Epic Movie)
