2nd Semester
Keeper
The semester project for the 2nd semester of Medialogy. It’s a Flash Lite application for mobile phones, that makes it possible to document your holidays with video, images, text entries, etc. on a Google Maps overlay. Unfortunately I don’t have a video right now.
3rd Semester
Motion Tracking
We did some motion tracking with a motion tracking suit in a dark hallway. This first video is the original footage.
To do proper motion tracking you usually want the image to be in binary colors, i.e. only black and white. To do this you determine a pixel value threshold, so everything below this pixel value becomes white and everything above it becomes black, like here:
Right Vision
The semester project for the 3rd semester of Medialogy. It’s a right-turn accident prevention system called “Right Vision”. It works by comparing movement in sequential frames (optical flow) to calculate if there is a moving cyclist in the frame. It determines if the movements are a cyclist by comparing the direction of the movement with a hardcoded horizon line.
